Garden of Dreams

First Marshal Kaiser Shumsher Rana constructed the Garden of Dreams in 1920, drawing inspiration from the gardens of Europe at the time. Originally, there were six pavilions in the park, each of which symbolized one of Nepal's six seasons. Its architecture, which combined European and Edwardian styles, was a feature of Kaiser Shumsher's palace.

The garden was neglected for many years following Kaiser Shumsher's passing. The Austrian and Nepali governments worked together in the early 2000s to bring the garden back to its previous splendor. It is now one of Kathmandu's most recognizable sights, representing elegance and tranquility.
