Namje Village, located at 1585 meters, is home to the Magar people of the Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality, Dhankuta District, Eastern Nepal. "Namje" means "eaten sweet potato" in Magar. The town is nestled amidst terraced fields, with 19 out of 30 families running homestay enterprises that can accommodate up to 80 guests per day. The community is bordered by beautiful green hills and a picturesque Magar settlement, as well as breathtaking views of the fifth-tallest peak, Mt. Makalu (8463 m).

Travellers can get to Namje settlement by flying from Kathmandu to Biratnagar, then driving 57 kilometers to Bhedetar Bazar (1420 m) and hiking up to the settlement. A 13-hour bus travel from Kathmandu to Bhedetar is another alternative. This picturesque village, with adjacent attractions including as Dada Bazar and the Narayan temple, attracts many visitors, particularly from the Marsh Terai region. Dhoje Dada, at 2133 meters, provides beautiful views of sunrise and sunset, snow-capped mountains, lush hills, and river valleys.
